The requirements for this project are relative to input/output capabilities, software implementation and final tests that it should be able to perform, since all the component are part of the solution and are not mandatory.

The expansion board should provide the user with two power outputs with galvanic isolation(relays), two opto-isolated outputs, and eight open-colector outputs. It should also have have eight digital inputs.

The developed software should be compatible with PiFace digital 2 and for that, it should be based on the software developed for the PiFace digital 2. The RTOS will be implemented through FreeRTOS API and should be tested through concurrent programming on a SUBA control appllication.

The project end-result should be able to controlod a SUBA RC car. The SUBA has two motors, one for traction and one steering. In adition, the tilt sensor should also be read and actuating on existing LEDs.
